Print Errors

Your order comes with a proof to approve before we go to press. You’re responsible for proofing your order. Read it well, looking for typos, correct dates, times, misspellings, and anything that’s doesn’t look right. We aren’t responsible for typos. You will be charged for reprinting (and rush charges if necessary), so please proofread.

Handmade Paper

As an artisan craft product, each piece of handmade paper is different, giving each it’s own look. Slight variations in size, paper thickness, print quality, and color are characteristic of handmade paper. The printed image on handmade paper has a more organic look. Inconsistencies in coverage and texture happen. This is the beauty of the fine art look of handmade paper products.

Hand Calligraphy

The variation in the look of letterforms and flourish contributes to the beauty of hand calligraphy. Inevitable variances are the nature of handmade art.

Client-supplied Designs

We no longer print client designs or templates purchased from Etsy or other suppliers.

Postage

We are happy to weigh and provide an estimate for postage for your mailing. However we strongly advise, once you receive your invitations, that you take your piece to your local post office when you purchase your stamps to be sure you’re buying sufficient postage. Though we have never had a problem with it on any of our mailings, the post office advises that wax seals on the outer envelope can create an issue with their scanning machines. They suggest hand cancelling. There is a great post on hand cancelling here. We are only here to advise and provide relevant information regarding your mailing and take no responsibility for the actions of the US Postal Service.

Sales Tax and Shipping

Tax and shipping isn’t included in the initial estimate agreement. The shipping cost will be determined upon completion of your order and invoiced for payment prior to release for shipping. Once your shipping invoice is paid your order will ship. Sales tax will be applied to pick up orders and those shipped within California. Orders shipping outside the state will not have tax applied.

Cancellations and Returns

All orders are custom and made to order, therefore we cannot accept unlimited cancellations or returns. Specific cancellation guidelines will be outlined on your quote agreement. If there is any issue with your order when you receive it, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help you with it.

Quoting and Project Commencement

All jobs are quoted to your specifications. No art time or paper orders will be scheduled until the quote has been signed and the deposit has been paid.

Samples

We are happy to provide samples during the quoting process. The sample packets are prepared specifically for you and include samples relevant to your product and budget needs. We require a non-refundable deposit that covers time, material and postage to get your samples to you. Though non-refundable, the deposit amount will be applied to your order when you sign a contract.

Color Display

Note computer/phone screens and printers are all calibrated differently and colors may appear slightly different than displayed. If exact color matching is needed please request swatches of refer to a Pantone book.
